Rosie Scott was born in Wiltshire but grew up in Cornwall. She studied in the South West of England for a degree in Fine Art. She taught, painted and exhibited in London (became an associate of Craigie Aitchison with whom she remained close until his recent death) before returning to Cornwall in 1994.

Since then she has exhibited in major galleries across the South West and in London. Maritime images populate much of her work. Other paintings are based around impressions of Venice, the Mediterranean and Australia.

Her work is in public and private collections in the UK, USA, Australia and the Far East.
